Recentemente no Jantar oferecido pelo Rei Carl Gustav XVI da Suécia aos vencedores dos Prémios Nobel deste ano, eu lembrei-me que adoro camafeus.

Já aqui falei da famosa Tiara de Camafeus da família real sueca. Considero esta tiara uma das mais emblemáticas e simbólicas (além de linda) do Cofre dos Bernadotte.

Hoje resolvi falar das outras peças que fazem parte do conjunto dos Camafeu, nomeadamente do colar.

Recently at the Dinner hosted by King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden to the winners of the Nobel Prizes this year, I remembered why I love cameos.

I  already spoken here of the famous Cameo Tiara the Swedish royal family. I consider this one of the most iconic and symbolic tiara (beyond pretty) of the Bernadotte jewel vault.

Today I decided to talk about the other parts that are part of the Cameo Parure, namely the necklace.

Feito em 1811 por Nitot, este conjunto que inclui pérolas, diamantes e camafeus pertenceu à Imperatriz Josephine de França, primeira esposa de Napoleão. O conjunto passou para a sua filha Hortense que seria rainha da Holanda. Em 1823, o conjunto passou para a sobrinha Josephine de Leuchtenberg que casaria com o futuro Rei Oskar I da Suécia. Desde ai que faz parte da coleção real sueca, sendo uma dos conjuntos mais antigos.

A tiara tem sido usada como parte de uma tradição matrimonial na Suécia. Do conjunto fazem ainda parte uns brincos, um colar, um broche e uma pulseira.

O conjunto foi usado por princesas e Rainhas suecas.

Made in 1811 by Nitot, this set made of pearls, diamonds, and cameos belonged to Empress Josephine of France, Napoleon's first wife. The parure passed to her daughter Hortense that would become Queen of the Netherlands. In 1823, the set went to her niece Josephine of Leuchtenberg that would marry the future King Oskar I of Sweden. Since there the parure is part of the Swedish Royal Collection, and it is one of the oldest pieces.

The tiara has been used as part of a swedish royal wedding tradition. But there are other pieces of the set: earrings, a necklace, a brooch and a bracelet.

The set has been used by Swedish princesses and queens.

From left to right: Queen Hortense,  Queen Josephine , Crown Princess Margaret, Princess Ingrid  (later Queen of Denmark) an Crown Princess Sybilla. The last three are wearing the necklace.

A actual rainha Sílvia já usou o conjunto inteiro várias vezes, e a sua filha Victoria após ter usado a tiara, pulseira e brincos no dia do seu casamento, estreou o colar e broche no jantar oferecido aos laureados com o prémio Nobel deste ano.

The current Queen Silvia have used the whole set several times, and her daughter Crown Princess Victoria after using the tiara, bracelet and earrings on her wedding day, debuted the necklace and brooch at the dinner offered to the  winners of the Nobel Prize this year.

Devo dizer que este conjunto lhe assenta na perfeição. O colar é simplesmente maravilhoso. Adoro a conjugação das pérolas com o ouro e os camafeus.

I must say that this set fits him perfectly. The necklace is just wonderful. I love the combination of gold with pearls and cameos.
