We continue in official visits mode and there's a lot to talk about.

Willem-Alexander e Maxima estão nos Estados Unidos, naquela que é a sua primeira visita oficial ao país desde que são Reis.
Willem-Alexander and Maxima are in the United States, in what is their first official visit to the country since they are Kings.

Dia 1 / Day 1
No primeiro dia de visita o casal real prestou as suas homenagens aos soldados americanos mortos na guerra e deixou uma coroa de flores no túmulo do Soldado Desconhecido no Cemitério Nacional de Arlington.
In the first day of visit of the royal couple paid their respects to American soldiers killed in the war and left a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

De seguida o casal seguiu para a Casa Branca onde foi recebido pelo Presidente Barack Obama, na Sala Oval.
Then the couple went to the White House where they were received by President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.
Seguiram-se uma série de reuniões e seminários e uma visita ao Congresso.
There followed a series of meetings and seminars and a visit to the American Congress.


Á noite, Willem-Alexander e Maxima foram convidados de honra num jantar oferecido na residência do Embaixador Holandês, onde importantes personalidades se juntaram à discussão de temas como a economia e a segurança.
At night, Willem-Alexander and Maxima were guests of honor at a dinner offered at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador, where important personalities joined the discussion of topics such as economics and security.

Fashion: Maxima durante a primeira parte do dia usou um vestido até ao momento identificado como PRADA. A princesa Mary da Dinamarca tem o mesmo modelo embora com um decote ligeiramente diferente.
Maxima in the first part of the day wore a dress so far identified as PRADA. Denmark's Princess Mary has the same model but with a slightly different neckline.

Na segunda parte do dia a Rainha usou um conjunto nude e amarelo NATAN.
On the second part of the day the Queen chose a nude and yellow outfit by NATAN.

Dia 2 / Day 2
No segundo dia de viagem, o casal real visitou a região dos Grand Rapids, onde muitos Imigrantes holandeses vivem.
On the second day trip, the royal couple visited the region of Grand Rapids, where many Dutch Imigrants live.

Seguindo uma tradição já cumprida por vários monarcas holandeses, o Rei e Rainha plantaram uma árvore no Frederik Maijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
Following a tradition already fulfilled by several Dutch monarchs, the dutch King and Queen planted a tree in Frederik Maijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

Seguiu-se uma visita ao Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, um hospital especializado em oncologia pediátrica. Nesta visita resultaram fotografias adoráveis.
This was followed by a visit to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, a hospital specializing in pediatric oncology. On this visit resulted lovely photographs.
O casal também visitou o Van Andel Research Institute, onde se desenvolvem investigações no âmbito nas doenças neuro-degenerativas, como o caso da Doença de Parkinson's e onde foram assinados protocolos de colaboração com algumas Universidades na Holanda.
The couple also visited the Van Andel Research Institute, where they develop research under the neuro-degenerative diseases such as the case of Parkinson's disease and where were signed cooperation agreements with some Universities in the Netherlands.

As famílias Meijer, De Vos e Van Andel são de proveniência holandesa.
Nas figuras de Frederik Meijer, Rich DeVos e Jay Van Andel está representado o espírito empreendedor de quem marcou a diferença em épocas de mudança. De quem inovou para não morrer parado. De quem sonhou e partilhou esse sonho com milhares de pessoas.
The Meijer, De Vos and Van Andel families are of Dutch origin.
In the figures of Frederik Meijer, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel is represented the entrepreneurial spirit of those who made a difference in changing times. Who innovated instead of remain still. Who dreamed and shared that dream with thousands of people.

Como associada da AMWAY, a empresa fundada por DeVos e Van Andel, não posso deixar de ver esta visita com outros olhos. Dois amigos que mudaram a história dos Grand Rapids e que ainda hoje o seu legado está bem presente na região. E que foi reconhecido por Reis, nesta visita. :)
As a member of AMWAY, the company founded by the DeVos and Van Andel, I can not help but see this visit differently. Two friends have changed the history of Grand Rapids and today their legacy is still present in all the region. And that was recognized by Kings, on this visit. :)

Ao fim da tarde o casal seguiu para Chicago, onde foram recebidos no Centro Cultural pelo Mayor da cidade, o Sr. Emanuel Rahm. Representantes de mais de cem empresas holandesas estiveram convidados para a recepção.
In the evening the couple went to Chicago, where they were received at the Cultural Center by the Mayor of the city, Mr. Emanuel Rahm. Representatives of over one hundred Dutch companies have been invited to the reception.

Fashion: No segundo dia de visita a Rainha escolheu roupas já vistas anteriormente. O primeiro é um conjunto NATAN, no qual se destaca a blusa peplum em laranja.
On the second day of visit to Queen chose clothes ever seen before. The first is a set NATAN, which emphasizes the peplum blouse in orange.
Para o jantar e recepção a Rainha optou por um girissimo vestido de cocktail JAN TAMINIAU.

For dinner and reception the Queen chose a super cute cocktail dress by JAN TAMINIAU.
