Frederik & Mary na Vogue (de novo!) / Frederik & Mary for Vogue (again!)

It happened again and I don't like it at all ...

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark made a photosession by Mario Testino in another photo shoot for the Australian Vogue. The couple, married since 2004 poses in the cover of  the August edition from the prestigious publication.
Mary is wearing a black gown by the Australian designer Alex Perry (a right guess from my dear Heaven) and she wore the vintage tiara acquired at auction in and firt worn in 2015.

The session took place last May when the photographer and Vogue visited Denmark and interviewed Corwn Princess Mary on the purpose of two major events that would take place in Copenhagen, and to which the future Queen is closely linked: The Copenhagen Fashion Summit, which focuses on sustainable practices in the textile and fashion industry, and the Women Deliver 2016, the largest global conference on the rights, health and well-being of girls and women.

In the magazine that will be on sale on July 11, Mary spoke about her role and the fact that she is considered by many a role model:

“I find it difficult to speak of myself as a role model, as role models are defined by the individual. It is what they see in a person that gives meaning or inspiration to them that makes another person a role model for them. It’s not something I consciously think about. But at the same time, I am very aware of my role and my responsibility. If I can inspire others and if others see something in me that can motivate them, then that’s a big compliment.”

Mary confessed something that was partly a surprise to me and on the other a confirmation of a suspicion I have for a while:

“I would say I’m not very good at accepting praise and recognition. I have a strong perfectionist streak, which means that, for example, if I look back over a speech I tend to focus on the bit that was not quite right, instead of everything else that was good.”

I understand the importance of these interviews and is not it content that trubles me. It is just this kind of photoshoots, which in my opinion, pass the wrong idea about royalty.
Another thing I ddn't like was the excessive use of Photoshop in the cover photo. Mary looks out of 2000's, and Fred is looking just weird.  On the other hand they show a different facet on royals and I recognize that it can be positive.

But I stand by my opinion: royals are not celebrities and although I love to see new photographs, and despiste my love for F & M, I really don't like these photoshoots, they really seem to love.
