Primeiro vamos até Paris, oui? Ora bem o Grão-Duque e a Grã-Duquesa do Luxemburgo começaram ontem uma Visita de Estado a França a convite do Presidente Emmanuel Macron. Henri e Maria Teresa foram recebidos pelo Presidente francês e pela Primeira-Dama Brigitte no Palácio Elysee.
Maria Teresa, por saber o que nos esperava à noite, adicionou um toque de brilho aos sapatos.
First let's go to Paris, oui? Now the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg began a state visit to France yesterday at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron. Henri and Maria Teresa were welcomed  by the French President and First Lady Brigitte in the Elysee Palace.
Maria Teresa, knowing what was waiting for us at night, added a touch of sparkle to her shoes.

De noite o casal francês ofereceu um Jantar de Estado aos vizinhos luxemburgueses. Conhecem a expressão "à grande e à francesa"?? Claramente já não se aplica ao código de vestuário usado nos jantares de estado em Paris. É verdade, esse tempo já passou e só volta com outro Napoleão. As tiaras ficaram em casa, os homens usaram fatos como se fossem para uma reunião empresarial e a royal watcher que há em mim só consegue pensar que os ideais republicanos dos franceses sentem-se ameaçados na presença de tiaras. É a única explicação que aceito... Ao menos Maria Teresa (deslumbrante em esmeralda) e Birgitte deram-nos algum brilho numa noite que faria envergonhar Marie Antoinette...Por outro lado, ela perdeu a cabeça, por isso talvez não seja um bom exemplo!
At night the French couple offered a state dinner to the Luxembourg neighbors. Do you know the expression "in a big and french style" ?? It clearly does not apply to the dress code used at state dinners in Paris anymore. True, that time has already passed and it'll only come back with another Napoleon. The tiaras stayed at home, the men used suits as if they were for a business meeting, and the royal watcher in me can only think that the republican ideals of the French feel threatened in the presence of tiaras. It's the only explanation I accept ... At least Maria Teresa (dazzling in emerald) and Birgitte gave us some sparkle on a night that would embarrass Marie Antoinette ... On the other hand, she lost her mind, so maybe she's not a good example!

Hoje na vizinha Holanda, o Rei Willem-Alexander e a Rainha Maxima receberam o Rei e a Rainha da Jordânia. Abdullah II e Rania estão na Holanda para uma visita oficial de 2 dias que veio substituir a Visita de Estado que era para ter decorrido em Novembro do ano passado.
Today in neighboring Holland, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima received the King and Queen of Jordan. Abdullah II and Rania are in the Netherlands for a 2-day official visit which replaced the State Visit that was to have taken place in November of last year.



E olhem-me bem para estas duas?? Impecáveis, certo? Mal posso esperar para ver as suas escolhas para o jantar de logo à noite. Como não se trata de uma visita de estado, não espero tiaras, mas com Máxima e Rania, tudo é possível.
And take a long look to these two ?? Amazing, right? Can not wait to see their choices for dinner tonight. Since this is not a state visit, I do not expect tiaras, but with Máxima and Rania, anything is possible.
